Commuters will get a respite after the state government has decided to extend the exemption on toll for another 72 hours. Earlier, the state had exempted vehicles from paying toll till Friday midnight due to the Union Government's decision to demonetize high-value Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes.

"The Maharashtra government extends the date to keep all state roads toll-tax-free (including Mumbai) till November 14 midnight," tweeted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
