Duo snatches Rs1.5 lakh from woman in Ghatkopar

A 48-year-old womanwas robbed of Rs1.5 lakh by two unidentified men near Shreyas cinema,Ghatkopar West on Tuesday morning.

The victim, Harsha Doshi, wasreturning home after withdrawing the cash from a bank when the duoaccosted her, snatched the money and fled. Doshi shouted for help butthe robbers couldn't be nabbed.According to locals,this is one of the several robbery and chain-snatching complaintsthat have been reported in the area.On Doshi'scomplaint, the Parksite police have registered a case of robberyagainst unidentified suspects.

"The victim couldn't properly seewho the robbers were as they approached her from behind and snatchedthe plastic bag containing the money," said Suresh Sakpal, seniorpolice inspector, Parksite police station.
