Doctor held for molesting Kalyan woman

The Naupada police have arrested a doctor for allegedly molesting a woman inside his clinic on the pretext of treating her backache. The 30-year-old woman hailing from Gavali Nagar in Kalyan had been receiving treatment at Spectrum clinic of Dr Amit Panjawani in Thane, for past two years prior to the incident.

According to the police report, the accused allegedly pulled down the woman's pants and molested her. "The woman complained that on pretext of treatment, the doctor molested her by touching her inappropriately inside the clinic," said a Naupada police officer.

"We have arrested the doctor under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for molestation, and now he will be produced before Thane Court," said PD Londhe, investigation officer, Naupada police station.
