Maharashtra will join other states such as Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Uttarakhand to launch Chief Minister's dashboard to enable real time monitoring of the government schemes. State high power committee at its meeting held on October 25 gave its approval for the Rs 21.85 crore project, which will be implemented by the state-run Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation. DNA broke the story in February 2018 that the state plans to launch CM dashboard.

CM dashboard will be important for the government especially when it expects commissioning of few of its key schemes ahead of state assembly election slated for September-October 2019.

Senior bureaucrat, who is engaged in the implementation of CM dashboard project, told DNA,'' The dashboard will help CM to get comprehensive information of all ongoing schemes and projects in real time. It will enable the CM to assess the performance of such projects and schemes on the click of button and take immediate actionable decisions by removing key hurdles and thereby put them on fast track.''

The dashboard will put in place feedback mechanism with the participation of citizens and beneficiaries.

Fadnavis will be able to keep an eye on a slew of projects on the much ambitious Rs 1.1 lakh crore Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet train project, Rs 1 lakh crore Mumbai Metro master plan, Rs 49,247 crore Mumbai Nagpur Expressway, Rs 18,500 crore Mumbai Trans Harbour Link project, Rs 16,000 crore Navi Mumbai project, Rs Rs 12,721 Mumbai Coastal Road project. This apart, CM will review various schemes at the district including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jalyukt Shivar aimed at increasing soil moisture to battle drought, the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Dalit Vasti Sudhar Yojana and newly launched Modi care scheme.

Currently, Fadnavis through his war room is regularly monitoring the status of the various government schemes. BJP-led government has completed four year rule on October 31 while Fadnavis on September 21st completed 1,421 days in office to become the longest-serving non-Congress chief minister of the state a record which was previously held by Shiv Sena's Manohar Joshi who was in office for 1,420 days.
