The much-awaited dna's auto show, which came to an end on May 29, received a stupendous response this year, with people in and around Navi Mumbai thronging the CIDCO Exhibition Centre in Vashi to be a part of the automobile extravaganza. The event was open from 11am to 8pm, with free entry for all visitors.

Top global brands of premium and luxury cars, including Mercedes, Mini Cooper, Audi, BMW, Maruti, Honda, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Toyota and Mahindra & Mahindra, registered their presence under one roof. The This year's collection of high-end bikes, including brands such as DSK Benelli, Ducati and Suzuki, delighted those who prefer luxury on two wheels. Then the range of accessories, including perfumes by Involve Your Senses, car air purification systems such as Aeroguard, and schemes by the Universal Sompo General Insurance were added bonus for true automobile lovers.
Vintage vehicles, including Buick 1947 8-Clyn Convertible and Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan 8-Clyn 1948, remained star attractions, with their eyeball-grabbing aesthetic design.
If the footfall number is any indication, visitors, mostly families, enjoyed the hourly engagements in terms of entertainment, with events such as quiz and attractive prizes for winners. The exhibitors said they were very happy with the response the show generated, as several potential buyers approached them with genuine queries.
The most novel feature of this year's auto show was that the enthusiasts were able to take their favourite ride out for a spin. Also, the future movers and shakers of the auto industry, currently studying at KJ Somaiya College and VJTI, showcased their innovative vehicles, which had features ranging from solar capability to all-terrain use.
