While Devendra Fadnavis used to have at the most 3 hours of sleep during the hectic 21-day campaign for the assembly elections, it was a 5-member team of his close friends and staff that managed the show from his house in the Dharampeth area of Nagpur.

Shashank Dabholkar, Atul Thakare, Nachiket Pimpalapure, Sumeet Wankhede and Kumar Masram, along with Chetan More and Ankit Shrivas, used to manage the office at Fadnavis's house at Nagpur. All the members of this team are assigned specific tasks so that the job is done in a systematic, decentralised manner without any sort of problem.

Dabholkar told dna that Fadnavis used to arrive at Nagpur at the wee hours between 2.30am and 4am during the campaign days and used to sleep for 2-3 hours. He used to get up at 7am to get ready for the Padyatra in his constituency. He used to participate in the Padyatra till 11am. He travelled to places like Kolhapur in western Maharashtra and to north Maharashtra and used to come back to Nagpur after accompanying Prime Minister Narendra Modi for public rallies. At times, he used to travel by air or even by road which used to be so hectic that he did not have energy to do any work after reaching Nagpur late in the night.

Dabholkar said that despite being exhausted, Fadnavis used to take stock of the situation and plan for the next day. He looked into minute details within the constituency and within Vidarbha.

Kumar Masram used to look after local assistance while Nachiket Pimplapure looked after media and public relations-related work. Atul Thakare worked for assembly-related aspects of Fadnavis's work while Sumeet Wankhede used to be with him 24x7 and worked like his private secretary. Dabholkar worked like a stand-by for each one of these workers and coordinated in the office at Fadnavis's house.
