Venkat Murli, 15, loves life’s challenges. The boy, who has learning disabilities, triumphed over life’s challenges by scoring 85% in his class 10 board exam.

A student of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Powai, Venkat has dyslexia (difficulty learning to read) and dyscalculia (difficulty comprehending numbers).

His proud father, Murlidhar, says Venkat studied without help from any special teacher or tutor.

The Ghatkopar resident overcame these challenges by taking his exam without getting a learning disability certificate which could get him extra time to write.

Venkat shyly requested dna not to use his photo for this interview. “I don’t want to be photographed,” said Venkat, whose role model is scientist Albert Einstein. He plans to take up science.
