After four months of looking for a 15-year-old boy, who had gone missing from a Delhi market last November, the Delhi Police traced him to Byculla in Mumbai on Tuesday. The teenager has been handed over to his father.

Ruman Amin had fled from Delhi because he was scared of not getting good marks in his Std X exams.

A native of Pulwama district in Kashmir, Ruman lives with his father, Mohammad Amin, 55, mother and two brothers. His father owns apple orchards and sells the fruit in Delhi.

The police said that in November last year, when his father had gone to Delhi to sell apples in Azadpur fruit market, he had also brought Ruman along.

"On November 20, Ruman fled without telling his father and switched off his mobile phone. After searching for him the entire day, his father approached the Mahendra Park police and registered a kidnapping complaint against unknown person," said sub-inspector Mukesh Kumar.

"We started our investigation and informed all police stations and also sent his photograph to them. But we did not get any information."

"However, a week ago, Ruman's father received a missed call on his mobile phone and he informed us. When we checked the number, we found out that the call was made from Byculla in Mumbai. So, we immediately informed the Byculla police," added Kumar.

Sub-inspector, Byculla police station, Vijay Sapkal said, "After tracing the call records and making a few more inquiries, we came to know that Ruman had wanted to speak to his father and, hence, had called but then had changed his mind and disconnected the call. We traced the number to Anjirwadi area and a team from Mahendra park police station reached there and found Ruman."

Another officer said, "Ruman was living with a few Kashmiri youth and was looking for a job. He told the police that he was afraid of not scoring well in Std X."

"Ruman likes Bollybood, so he visited Bandra several times to meet Salman Khan. He sat near the actor's building for hours, hoping he would be able to see him coming out, but in vain," he added.
