'Courier boy' molests 33-year-old in Thane

The Rabodi police have arrested a 25-year-old courier boy who allegedly molested a 33-year-old woman in Thane. The accused first sent lewd messages to the woman and then molested her later.

According to the police, the accused Anthony Nadar, a resident of Pokhran 2 in Thane, allegedly sent messages loaded with sexual content to the woman and later, on the pretext of delivering a courier to her, tried to pull the woman close to him and intentionally molested her.

"The woman complained that the accused often sent lewd messages to her and when he found her alone, he molested her," said a Rabodi police officer.

"We have registered a case under Section 354(A) and (D) (molestation) of the Indian Penal Code and have arrested the accused. We are also making further investigations," the officer added.
