Couple makes video of rape, blackmails victim for 2 years

The Vile Parle police are on the lookout for a couple who allegedly blackmailed and raped a 40-year-old woman for money by threatening to make her private video viral.

The woman, who lives in neighbourhood of the accused, was raped by the neighbour after spiking her drink. The act was recorded by his wife, which was used to blackmail and repeatedly rape her in the last two years.

According to the complaint lodged by the victim, the accused, Ahemad Hussain and Sana Hussain, invited her to their home in 2015. the couple then offered her a drink, which after consuming, made her feel dizzy and lose consciousness. The victim alleged that after spiking her drink, Ahemad allegedly raped her and his wife, Sana recorded the act on a mobile phone. When victim gained consciousness, the couple showed her the video and allegedly threatened to make it viral.

According to the police, armed with a video, the couple continued to blackmail victim for almost two years for money.

The police said the victim approached them on Thursday as she was fed up with the harassment by the couple and could not take it anymore since the couple began assaulting and threatening her of dire consequences.

"We have registered a case against the couple for rape, blackmail and under several other sections of Indian Penal Code and Information Technology Act. The accused are at large, our probe is on to track them down and arrest them," said Laxman Chavan, Senior Police Inspector of Vile Parle police station.
