Two days after two men on a pink Vespa scooter robbed a 60-year-old man of valuables worth Rs50,000 in Andheri (W), the police said that they have no clues as most CCTV cameras in the locality are non-functional. Based on the complainant’s description, they have prepared sketches of the accused.

Assistant film director Baldev Valia, was in his car around 11am on Friday when the two men stopped him saying they wanted to have a word with him. They got into his car and robbed his gold ring and chain after threatening him with a gun. “We have prepared and circulated the robbers’ sketches to all police stations. We also suspect if the pink Vespa scooter they used for the crime was stolen,” said a police officer.
