There was trouble for filmmaker Farah Khan after the Oshiwara police stopped her party in the wee hours of Friday and fined its organiser Rs5,000 for playing loud music in her building. The incident happened on the terrace of Oberoi Sky Height in Lokhandwala Complex.

An officer said, "The Mumbai police control room received a call from residents of Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri around 12.30am on Friday, complaining that loud music was being played on the building's terrace. We were informed about it and a team was sent to inquire."

Inquiries revealed that Khan was celebrating her birthday and several Bollywood personalities were part of the celebration. As they had not taken any permission from the police, the organiser was fined Rs5,000 under provisions of the Bombay Police Act for playing music on a loudspeaker without permission and that too beyond 10pm. The organiser is a member of the building society.

"He was taken to the police station and released after the fine was paid," said the officer.
