The arrest of top IM leaders recently has exposed the module they were allegedly cultivating in Rajasthan as the police in that state have arrested nine suspected operatives of IM, including nine students from Jodhpur and Sikar districts. Police have not recovered any explosive or incrminating material from any of the operatives arrested.

Even as top four commanders of IM are in custody now, special cell of Delhi police has maintained that educated young recruits pose a bigger threat.

The students were identified as, Barkat (24), Javed (23), Aadil (23), and Iqbal who were nabbed from Jodhpur whereas Umar (18), Shazzad (23), Abdul Wahid (22), Addas (21), and Waqar Sarkhel were arrested from Sikar district.

Rajasthan police made the arrest on tip off of special cell of Dehi police who are interogating the recently arrested top IM commanders --Tehseen and Waqas. Most of these operatives were in their initial stage of involvement with IM and were in the process of being indoctrinated by senior operatives like Waqas and Tehseen.

"Few of them are promising students who could have had great careers ahead. Nothing was recovered from their possession. Only Barkat, the man who supplies explosives is a big catch," said SN Srivastava, special commissioner, Delhi Police.

Waqar and Mahruf, who were engineering students, many of these young men are promising students. Umar who's yet to cross his teens was taking coaching for medical examination while another student Addas is pursuing civil engineering course from Sikar.

Even if the investigators have penetrated junior most levels of IM cadres in Rajasthan, they still remain aprehensive of many vulnerable students that could have been indoctrinated.
"Students like these are vulnerable and can be swayed easily. So, we have to be on toes," added Srivastava.
