Congress and NCP leaders in the state assembly has been quick to start th rigorous exercise of taking on the BJP-led government for the next five years. Congress leaders have sought all the copies of the minutes of speeches BJP leaders have made in the last five years when the party was warming the opposition benches.

"We have collected copies of speeches by leader of the opposition Eknath Khadse, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, Sudhir Mungantiwar and Vinod Tawde. We are in process of collecting other copies too," said a senior Congress leader and a former minister.

Most BJP leaders has adopted an aggressive stand to take on the Congress – NCP led government of the past fifteen years. BJP leaders used to storm the proceedings of the sessions and would also create a situation wherein sessions were stalled for hours.

A Congress MLA said he has ensured that he has all the copies of Vinod Tawde's speeches on important situations. "We want to show them that it is easy to make allegations when one sits in the opposition and, now that have formed the government, how difficult it will be for them to deal with the same situation," said the MLA.

It was apparent that they have been doing their homework when NCP leader and former home minister R R Patil and former PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal stated in the house that they are waiting for their turn to confront Fadnavis government over tricky issues. "We have all the records of what you spoke in the assembly sessions while sitting in the opposition benches. Now, you will have to answer the same questions from us," said Patil.

Adding a note of warning, Patil told the BJP government to be fair and just in their approach and not act according to their whims and fancies while taking policy decisions. "The way BJP has managed to sail through tricky political situations and the manner in which Fadnavis government could reach up to the assembly is such a complex and artful affair that even the wisest of political analyst will be confused," Patil said in the house.
