Defeat is followed by blame and the same is surfacing in Mumbai Regional Congress Committee, the Mumbai unit of Congress party, with defiant former chief Gurudas Kamat demanding an executive meeting to discuss party's debacle in BMC elections.

Kamat has issued a press release in which he has criticised MRCC chief Sanjay Nirupam by saying that party has faced disastrous results in BMC polls. Kamat has said that instead of briefing media persons party should organise a closed door meeting to discuss the party's dismal performance.

Kamat has suggested that the meeting could be held either in a small hall like Shanmukhanand Hall or even on an open ground, so that party workers should be able to make up their minds instead of being confused as a result of media statements by the leadership. Kamat also has suggested inviting All India Congress Commitee (AICC) in-charge for Maharashta Mohan Prakash for the meeting.
