The four-day inter-collegiate festival of Narsee Monjee College Umang, that draws in a footfall of close to 50,000 students, is all set to kick off today. The theme for this year is 'A Passport Full of Stamps' which represents a traveller's wanderlust and his/her curiosity to explore the world.

Over 400 students are a part of the organising committee, and will be responsible for close to 80 events that will include film making, mixed martial arts, street dance and throwball among others. Workshops and panel discussions will also be a part of the student festival. The fine arts exhibition at the festival will be about the images the mind sees during sleep. Apart from the competitions, there will be opportunities for students to learn a wide variety of skills at the workshops on cheesecake making, handwriting analysis, tarot card reading, perfume making, and fencing, to name a few.

The Umang Laugh Club and Umang Fashion Show are two informal activities likely to be the highlight. And for those who just want to have fun, there will be board games, a lounge modelled on Hogwarts, and a virtual reality gaming and sports lounge.
