CM reviews government's flagship schemes

Talking about another scheme, Fadnavis informed that under the Ramai Aawas Yojana, 50,000 houses will be provided for the oppressed in the society, and funds will be provided to encourage entrepreneurs from those sections as well.

Directing the officials to complete the target of imparting skill development training to 10,000 backward classes students, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has said the schemes under the Social Justice Department should be completed on a priority basis. He was reviewing the government's flagship programmes and schemes during a meeting at the Mantralaya.

Industries minister Subhash Desai, Minister of Statse (MoS) Pravin Pote-Patil, Dilip Kamble and Vijay Shivtare were also present at the meeting. Fadnavis pointed out that under the skill development scheme, the Tata group will impart skill training to 35 ITIs in the state from July 15 onwards through virtual classrooms. The scheme would be extended throughout the state after September 2016.

Reviewing the developments in the industries department, Fadnavis said of the MoUs signed during the Make in India week in February, agreements worth Rs40,000 crore have been realised while MoUs worth Rs20,000 crore are moving towards realisation.
