Cracking down on officials who continued to be in service despite being convicted for graft, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has sought that action against such people be taken immediately.
The state will also ask for clarifications from officials who did not take action against such employees and officials.
Cases are lodged in court on officials who have been trapped by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) while taking bribes. Some officials have been convicted by the courts but have continued in service because their departments have not taken action against them. Fadnavis has asked chief secretary Swadhin Kshatriya to take immediate action against such people.
