City schools find their names in top-10 raking of EWISR survey

In day school category the seven schools that are in top 10 schools are Smt Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Thane has been voted no2, The Cathedral and John Connon School, find its place on fifth position in co-ed school category.

The 10th annual Education World India School Rankings (EWISR) 2016 survey was released in Bengaluru on Thursday. Many schools from the city find their name in the top 10 ranking.

A total of 10,301 parents, teachers, principals, educationists and senior students were interviewed in 28 cities countrywide by 140 field researchers of the well-reputed market research and opinion polls company Centre for Forecasting and Research Pvt. Ltd, Delhi to rank 1,000 of the country’s most well-known schools on the basis of 14 parameters of education excellence.

The 14 parameters on the basis of which the schools were ranked are, academic reputation, community service, competence of faculty, individual attention to students, leadership/ management quality, life skills education and conflict management, co-curricular education, internationalism, parental involvement /(pastoral care- in boarding schools),teacher welfare and development, value for money, sports education, safety and hygiene, infrastructure provision.

In day school category the seven schools that are in top 10 schools are Smt Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Thane has been voted no2, The Cathedral and John Connon School, find its place on fifth position in co-ed school category. In all-boys day school category Campion School, Fort, Mumbai, topped the chart followed by St Mary's High School, ICSE, Mazgaon was ranked sixth and Matunga school Don Bosco High School was ranked eighth. JB Petit High School, Mumbai was leading in all-girls category and Villa Theresa High School, Peddar Road, was ranked ninth. 

In international day schools category Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai, Indus International, Bangalore (day-cum-boarding) and Good Shepherd International School, Ooty jointly with Woodstock School, Mussoorie (wholly residential) are top-ranked in the International Schools category.
