Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will visit Japan between May 13 and 17, and will unveil a statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Kohyasa in Japan. During his visit, Fadnavis will market Maharashtra as a good destination for Japanese investment.

Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will visit Japan between May 13 and 17, and will unveil a statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Kohyasa in Japan. During his visit, Fadnavis will market Maharashtra as a good destination for Japanese investment.

Fadnavis will unveil the Ambedkar statue on May 14. Prior to this event, he will hold meetings with Japanese businessmen at Osaka. He will attend a seminar about promoting investment in Maharashtra, organized jointly by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro). After this seminar, Fadnavis will meet representatives from Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Kansai Economic Federation.

After unveiling the statue of Dr Ambedkar on May 14, the CM will also meet select dignitaries from Tokyo and will also have a dinner meeting with the governor of Wakayama. He will attend a seminar in Tokyo for promoting investment in Maharashtra before he leaves for India.

Chief Minister Fadnavis would also be visiting Israel next week between April 26 and 29 for attending an agricultural exhibition. An official said that the agricultural secretary would be accompanying him to Israel. There, the CM is likely to explore state-of-the-art technologies for increasing productivity in agriculture. He is also scheduled to hold meetings to promote tourism to Maharashtra during his four-day Israel visit.
