NCP leader and former PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Thursday appeared before a Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the Bombay high court to investigate the alleged irregularities in the construction of Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi. Bhujbal appeared before the SIT at the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) office and recorded his statement after the HC observed that there was enough material to file an FIR against him.

The ACB on Wednesday had submitted in HC an interim report of the investigation after which Bhujbal was summoned by the ACB. "Bhujbal came to the ACB office late on Thursday afternoon and left after his statement was recorded by the SIT," said an ACB officer.
