Chavan demands complete loan waiver for farmers

Congress state unit president Ashok Chavan on Friday reiterated the demand for complete loan waiver for farmers. The former chief minister said that there have been 1,059 cases of farmer suicide between January and May this year and that the Congress and NCP will not allow both the Houses of state to function during the monsoon session until the government clears its stand on complete loan waiver.

Referring to the allegations of scams against BJP ministers, Chavan said that taking into account the stability of this government, it can fall any time and the Congress is ready for elections any moment.
