What better occasion than Ganesha Chaturthi to bring people from various communities together? The Elephant God is much revered by all Mumbaikars, who are set to welcome Lord Ganesha with much fanfare and fervour.
From Lalbaug to Andheri and beyond, people (irrespective of the religion they belong to) have come together to plan elaborate celebrations and activities around Ganesha utsav. We, at dna, too have planned various activities to celebrate Ganesha utsav, with our focus being on celebrating Ganesha Chaturthi without polluting the environment.
This is the 4th year of dna Eco Ganesha. Our core philosophy is to create awareness and a feeling of responsibility towards the environment while celebrating the favourite festival of the Mumbaikars.
Taking this thought forward, our theme for Eco Ganesha this year is ‘Pancha Mahabhuta’ which refers to the ‘five elements of Nature’ namely, Air, Water, Fire, Sky, and Earth. Our objective of spreading eco-awareness and providing our readers a platform to participate and contribute in an eco-drive during the festival seems a befitting way to celebrate Lord Ganesha, who is also the Lord of Nature.
