Caretaker hangs self at employers' Wadala residence

A 35-year-old caretaker allegedly committed suicide at her employer's flat at Jupiter building in Bhakti Park, Wadala, on Monday morning. The Wadala TT police have registered a case of of accidental death.

According to the police, the deceased, Bhavna Bharat More (35), was found hanging in the attendant's room at 6.30am by her employer. More has been with her employers since June 2013 and used to take care of their children.

"More lived with a couple. When they woke up, she was found hanging using a rope that was suspended from the window grille her room," said Suhas Garud, senior police inspector, Wadala T.T police station. More was taken to hospital where she was declared dead.

During the enquiry, it was revealed that More's parents live at Rabale in Navi Mumbai and she married one Bharat More in 1997 they separated in 2003. They have a daughter who lived with Bharat.

"Investigations pointed out that More had strained relationship with her in-laws. A couple of days back, More had contacted her husband and asked him to take her back home. However, he refused and this caused More a lot of stress" said Garud.

The police have registered a case of accidental death in this regard. "Her family members said that they don't have any complaint against anyone. No suicide note was recovered from her possession," said Garud.
