CM Prithviraj Chavan’s assurance that he will re-examine the issue of Campa Cola Compound FSI violations has been welcomed by residents of illegal flats.
The new statement from Chavan, who’s been non-committal over the demand that he find a solution to the issue, has now given them another chance to save their homes, residents feel. As reported in dna, the SC has allotted residents a hearing on their review petition.
“We had approached him (Chavan) earlier. Though he gave us time, he had appeared reluctant to use his discretionary powers. Now that he has said he will speak to us, we see a twist in the story. Fingers crossed!” a resident said.
The residents said they will discuss all the issues, especially the documents they recovered recently, with the CM. “We will have to work on our presentation... The plan will first be discussed with the public representatives who raised the issue during the winter session,” the resident added.
