Call data record case: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's lawyer Rizwan arrested by Thane crime branch

On the evening of March 16, Thane crime branch arrested Rizwan Siddiqui, lawyer of actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the call data record (CDR) case. Rizwan is said to have obtained CDR of the actor's wife to spy on her. He will be produced in Thane court on Saturday.

The actor, however, did not present himself in spite of being summoned by the cops. Thane police busted the CDR racket on January 24 with the arrest of four detectives of Globe detective agency, Vashi. The call date of the Siddiqui's wife was obtained through the detective agency. 

This was followed by the arrest of five more people which include detectives and hackers.

Reports of marital discord between Nawazuddin and his wife had surfaced earlier this month.
