While Mumbai students failed to feature in the top 10 elite club this year, Thane-based Sanket Gada made the cut with an AIR 7. Twenty-two-year-old Gada, a resident of Thane, cracked the exam in the first attempt with a score of 546 out of 800.

"I am extremely happy with the score. I just followed a good study pattern and got the result. I want to specialise in taxation," said Gada, who studied at the Mulund College of Commerce.

Similarly, Aayushi Gupta, also 22, turned out to be the city topper for CA finals with an All India Rank of 16.

"It was a bit hectic to co-ordinate my studies with work as I was also doing my articleship, but I am happy that I could manage both," said Gupta, a student of Narsee Monjee College of Commerce in Vile Parle.

Gupta, who resides in Andheri, said that she had the support of her family and colleagues at work. "I was given five-month long leave to study for the exam," she added.
