A Division Bench of the Bombay High Court at Goa comprising of Justice FM Reis and Justice Nutan Sardessai on Monday issued notices returnable in three weeks to the Secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation, Chief Secretary of Goa Director General of Police, the Airport Director and the Deputy Commandant of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on a petition filed by Adv Aires Rodrigues seeking a thorough probe into BJP National President Amit Shah's public meeting held on July 1 at Goa's Dabolim Airport.

Adv Rodrigues has sought directions to ensure that rule of law is upheld by holding an inquiry for taking action in accordance with the law against the organisers and those responsible for that public meeting held within the precincts of Dabolim Airport on July 1, 2017 in total violation of the law.

Drawing the Court's attention to the fact that on July 2 he had addressed a joint complaint to the Secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation, Chief Secretary of Goa and Director General of Police demanding an immediate inquiry, Adv Rodrigues has stated that as the authorities were acting as caged parrots and taking no action he was constrained to seek intervention of the High Court.

Adv Rodrigues in his petition has also stated that probably for the first time ever, a public meeting was organised by a political party within the high-security precincts of an airport when the Goa BJP held a public meeting addressed by its party National President Amit Shah at Goa's Dabolim Airport on July 1, 2017.
