While 1,716 college staff members and 1,1813 from government aided and unaided schools will be roped in for election duty.

The government has already declared February 21 as a public holiday. The officials who will be carrying out election duty will be paid remuneration between Rs 1,200 and Rs 1,500 per day, and Rs 350 for the day they attend training sessions.
