Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Thursday said that Maharashtra Government has partially accepted the Adarsh Housing Society report as accepting it completely would make the resignation of Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde inevitable.

"Even with the pressure created by Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi it has been accepted partially. This is because Shinde will have to resign as the Home Minister, if it is accepted completely. They do not have the guts to accept it completely," said Ravi Shankar Prasad.

"Any action honestly would have let to a lot of action against many senior leaders of Maharashtra assembly. It is a window dressing exercise. A lot of further layers of corruption are going to unfold in the coming days," he said.

BJP leader Captain Abhimanyu Sindhu said that the partial acceptance of the report is just a pretense that the Congress was putting up to cover up their wrongdoings.

"They have been involved in a lot of scams and this is just a pretension. They are trying to cover up everything by saying this but actually there has been no transformation in their party. Be it the 2G Scam, Coalgate Scam or Commonwealth scam, they have always used the same technique," he said.

"Till the time the Congress is present in the centre they will not let the truth come out in front of the people. They will keep pretending and trying to cover up," he added.
