As several top scorers in the city celebrated their winning scores, social media was full of messages for those who could not manage to score well, or failed in the exams.

State Education Minister Vinod Tawde tweeted on Wednesday asking students who couldn't succeed to not give up.

"Do not be scared of failure as it is the first step to success. Leaving your failure behind, keep moving ahead and stay positive. We are all with you. All the best for the re exams!" read the tweet.

This year, 34.30 per cent of over 66,000 repeater students who appeared for the exams cleared them.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) would conduct the re-examination for those who failed their Boards in July.

City-based psychiatrist Sagar Mundada said that students need to stay away from those who spread negative thoughts.

"Every student has some friends or reltatives who always criticise them. They should stay away from such people. Also, parents should motivate them instead of merely pressurising them. For those who are confused about what goes wrong, they should go for career counselling and use their failure as an opportunity to assess their personality," added Mundada.

Applying for revaluation

Subhash Borse, secretary, Mumbai Divisional Board, said that students who are not satisfied with their scores can apply for revaluation and photocopy online from today itself.

"This is the first time that we are giving the online facility to the students. The move would make it hassle-free for students to apply for revaluation and photocopies of answer-sheets. They would only have to collect the results from the Board office later," he added.
