One of the top officials of ICICI Bank is among the six named in the first information report (FIR) as accused in a sexual harassment case at the institution’s Vashi office.

In her complaint, the 40-year-old victim, an employee of ICICI Lombard Insurance, has named the top official because this official is one of the members of the organisation’s sexual harassment committee, and instead of giving her justice after she had filed a formal complaint, the committee told her to take transfer to some other branch, allowing the main accused, a senior manager, to get away scot-free.

The victim has alleged that she was being harassed by her seniors for the past one and a half years.

She reported the matter to the company and a committee was formed to resolve the matter. Unfortunately the committee took no action against the culprit, Mukesh Pandey. So she approached the police and registered a case against Pandey and five others.

“We are investigating the case but have not arrested anyone. Requisite actions will be taken at the right time. It is too early to say something about this case,” said Sangeeta Alphonso, inspector from Vashi police station.
