After the Maharashatra State Bureau of Textbook Production & Curriculum Research (Balbharati) registered an FIR against an unknown person at Dadar police station on January 30 for leaking the digital content of Balbharati's science textbooks of Secondary School Certificate (SSC), the bureau is now getting an affidavit undertaking from the member teachers of the board in a bid to prevent such incidences in the future, claims the teachers' community.

This year, it's the first time that a case of theft, cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property have been registered by Balbharati against unknown person.

Sunil Magar, Director, Balbharati, said, "The police investigation is still on. We will see what precaution can be taken to avoid such things in the future." When asked whether the bureau is going to take signatures of all teachers, he said nothing as such is decided, and that an undertaking is anyway taken from teachers while becoming a member.
