The Baha'is community in Mumbai on Saturday celebrated the 198th birth anniversary of the Bab, forerunner to the prophet Baha'u'llah whose bicentenary celebrations will be observed on Sunday.

As part of the celebrations on October 22, members of the community will host celebrations at the YB Chavan Centre, Mantralaya.

"The celebrations will revolve around the life and teachings of Baha'u'llah. To mark this occasion and to pay tribute to his life, the Baha'is of Mumbai will launch a CD titled Songs of the Spirit based on the writings of Baha'u'llah," said Dr Jehangir Sorabjee, a Baha'is.
