Marine Drive police recently arrested the son of drug dealer Shashikala alias Baby Patankar in the drugs seized from a cop's locker case. It was Satish who had driven the car containing M-Cat consignment from Mumbai to the Kanheri village residence of police constable Dharmaraj Kalokhe.

Speaking on the development, deputy commissioner of police, detection, Dhananjay Kulkarni said, "Patankar's son Satish was arrested by the Satara police, and the Marine Drive police took custody of him on April 14. Satish is in police custody till April 21."

On March 9, Satara police had seized 110 kgs of M-Cat, whose market value runs into crores of rupees, from the house of Kalokhe in Satara, and subsequently arrested him.

The following day, the Mumbai police inspected the locked cupboard of Kalokhe at Marine Drive police station, where he was posted, and discovered 12 kgs of white crystal translucent suspected to be M-Cat, and some quantity of opium.

Mumbai police commissioner Rakesh Maria had then ordered for Kalokhe's dismissal. Also, Pravin Chinchalkar, senior police inspector of Marine Drive police, was also transferred to special branch of the city police in the wake of the seizure. Kalokhe's partner and drug runner Baby Patankar has been on the run since his arrest.
