Moshe Holtzberg or 'Baby Moshe', the now 11-year-old boy who was rescued from Chabad House during the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai, on Thursday unveiled a plaque dedicated to his late parents and a 'living memorial' along with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Moshe thanked God for his miraculous escape and Netanyahu for bringing him to Mumbai.
"Moshe was emotional but also very composed during the unveiling. The Rabbi here has done a good job of improving the Nariman House. It looks better and there is more space," said Moshe Holtzberg, Moshe's uncle who shares the same name.
"The prime minister was overwhelmed to see the height markings on the walls in Hebrew made by Moshe's mother when he was just 13 months," said Rabbi Israel Kozlovsky who now looks after Chabad Centre in Mumbai. Netanyahu addressed the people gathered for the event in Hebrew. Moshe's two grandmothers lit an 'eternal flame' in remembrance of the victims.
Moshe also visited The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel where Netanyahu was attending a business meeting. The young boy was so inquisitive that he wanted to stand with his maternal grandparents to watch the queue of people entering the venue.
