Assistant municipal commissioner Chandrashekhar Chore is down with suspected dengue.
Chore, who is in-charge of prime BMC estates and civic-run markets in Mumbai, has been admitted to privately-run Jaslok Hospital on Peddar Road.
“Chore has been admitted to the hospital with high grade fever close to two days back, which indicate symptoms of dengue, though doctors are yet to officially confirm it,” said a hospital official.
In October, 120 people have been diagnosed with dengue in BMC hospitals. The number is close to 615 in private hospitals.
