After the session’s court on Friday sentenced Mohammad Badshah alias Mohammad Ismail Ansari to life imprisonment on the rape case of a Spanish national in November 2012, police officers from Vanrai police station where an attempt to rape case of an 18-year-old Netherland national was registered, have sought help from the Bandra police to pursue the matter.

The officer said they wanted to understand the procedures for video conferencing as the Dutch national is currently out of the country.

According to the police, in December 2011, the girl was travelling alone in an autorickshaw when the driver and his friend tried to rape her at Aarey Colony in Goregaon (East). However, the girl managed to escape and later lodged a complaint with the police. “The girl went back to her country some time after the case was registered. So, the police want to conduct the trial through videoconferencing,” said the police officer.
