Aspiring model alleges rape at friend's house party

An evening of seemingly harmless revelry turned into a nightmare for an aspiring model, who was raped at a friend's house party in Versova. The police has filed a case of rape and is yet to arrest the accused.

As per the police, the 32-year-old woman was partying at a friend's house in Versova on November 12. An officer wishing anonymity said: "In her statements, she told us that three other people, including the accused, were attending the party. They were drinking till late at night."

The girl allegedly passed out after drinking a few bottles of beer. A day later, she felt pain in her private parts and suspected that she was sexually assaulted when she was unconscious. "To confirm this, she called the accused, who initially denied it. Later, he told her that he took advantage of her when she had passed out," said an officer.

She then approached the Versova police on Saturday and lodged a complained against her friend. "We have registered an offence. We will be talking to witnesses in the house as well as the accused, after which arrests will be made," informed the officer.
