Mumbai University's fifth semester exams have run into another scheduling crisis. The TYBSc Organic Chemistry exam on November 18 clashes with TYBSc sixth semester's applied component exam.
On Tuesday, Dinesh Bhonde, controller of exams, said, "This error has been brought to our notice. As today (Tuesday) is a holiday, we will have a meeting on Wednesday to come up with an alternative."
Earlier, the fifth semester TYBCom timetable had an error allotting only two hours for exams that were meant to be for two-and-a-half hours. The error has now been corrected and Bhonde has assured that students following the 60:40 break up will be initially tested according to the new 75:25 system and the marks will be adjusted later to the 60:40 system.
