In a series of heated-up tweets, Juhu MLA Ameet Satam of Bharatiya Janata Party slammed Shivdeep Lande, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) on Friday.

The tweets, which were tagged to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, asked Lande to learn etiquettes and politeness. Satam alleged that Lande responded rudely to him when he complained about drug menace in Juhu.

Satam stated that he made a phone call to Lande for complaining against the drug menace in Juhu Tara road. Taken aback with the response, Satam took to Twitter and tagged Mumbai Police Commissioner and CM Devendra Fadnavis in his tweets.

Lande is a 2006 batch Bihar IPS Cadre police officer and was transferred to Maharashtra on Central deputation. He is heading the ANC for Mumbai police.

"I have been receiving calls from the residents of my constituency about the drug peddlers — selling ganja and charas near the educational institutes and at Juhu Tara road," said MLA Satam.

"As soon as I informed him about the menace, he revealed that the ANC only targets major drug hauls and drugs in large quantities. When I tried to reason with him, he rudely disconnected the call," said Satam.

"I will write to the Home Minister and Chief Minister about this rude behaviour of the public servant and demand strict action against him," said Satam.

Meanwhile, when DNA contacted Shivdeep Lande, he refused to comment about the incident and disconnected the call.
