Alliance with Sena is the secret to success: Devendra Fadnavis

Sharing the secret of his success for remaining in the chair for five years, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said that the secret lies in ensuring that alliance with Shiv Sena is intact.

Revealing that this was told to him by none other than first chief minister of the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in the state Manohar Joshi, Fadnavis said that he also enjoyed the term as chief minister only by ensuring that the alliance is intact.

"It was Joshi who told me that just like him I will also have the term if I take care of the alliance," said the chief minister.

Fadnavis was speaking at a book release function at Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan. The book titled 'Charaiveti...Charaiveti...' penned by Uttar Pradesh governor Sam Neil was released in presence of former Lok Sabha speaker Manohar Kochi, former chief minister Sushilkumar Shinde, BJP National vice president Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, journalist Shriram Pawar, BJP Mumbai unit chief Ashish Shelar and publisher Anand Limaye.

Lauding Naik's contribution Fadnavis said that he has demonstrated sacrifice which was hallmark of any true Swayamsewak and retired from electoral politics despite having guarantee of BJP government coming to power.

Despite the fact Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray is critical of the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Manohar Joshi hailed him by saying that he is transforming the country.
