After an unprecedented delay in declaring the results for the last semester, the University of Mumbai has now decided that students won't have to undergo a long wait for the results of the winter semester examinations.

The university said that the results of all the programmes would be declared in the next 15 days.

"Unlike last time, wherein some of the major results were delayed, this time we have been successful in declaring results of some of the major courses like BA, BCom and BSc within the stipulated 45 days. Now, the results of smaller courses with fewer students are remaining for which it would not take more than two weeks," said Dr Arjun Ghatule, director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation.

Currently, the varsity has declared the results of over 220 courses of the total 402.

Ghatule informed that the varsity has announced the results of the pending re-evaluation requests from the last semester before declaring this semester's results. This was done to ensure that the students get their marksheets early.

"We have ensured that minimum results are kept in reserve this time so that students face less of a hassle " he added.

While the results of most under-graduate courses are out, the University is now working on declaring the results of the post-graduate courses and diplomas which have fewer students.
