All India Bakchod (AIB) has cancelled its Stage42 live tour which was to begin from Pune on March 7. Their show was part of the Stage42 festival, which is also bringing renowned stand-up comic Jerry Seinfeld to Mumbai. The festival is an aim to bring a selection of events and artists across comedy, music, theatre and food under one umbrella.

In a Facebook post, announcing the cancellation, AIB members said it was not an easy call to take. "We've spent the last month and a half dealing with you-know-what and we now need time to write up a kickass show that kicks the ass of 'The Show That Must Not Be Named'. Sorry about this, but we'll be back soon. And with a completely new show at that," the post said. They said those who had already bought tickets will get a refund.

The post also announced that they have returned to producing videos and will release them soon. "On the bright side, we're back to work now. Our next set of videos are already in production and will be out soon, so yay," it added.

AIB was recently embroiled in a controversy regarding their show 'AIB Knockout' with Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, which was deemed offensive by religious groups and activists.
