Aggrieved buyers of Hex World are all set to protest against Hex Corp during the forthcoming Builders Association of Navi Mumbai (BANM) property exhibition, which is set to begin on December 12, at the Cidco exhibition centre in Vashi.

According to Sunil Honrao, president of Hex World Members Forum, organisation of aggrieved buyers, "Four years back, this builder has taken money from people for booking flats. I have myself booked one 2BHK and 1BHK flat in the project. We were impressed by the extravagant pavilion set up by the developer during the exhibition then and booked the flats. But, he has cheated us by not starting construction. We are going to give a request letter to Union minister for surface transport Nitin Gadkari to take strong action against the builder."

Honrao added, "Earlier, too, we had staged a protest at the project's site. People from Mumbai, Pune and Navi Mumbai, who have paid the money for the flats, will be staging protest against the developer at the exhibition site. The developer had taken Rs3 lakh for 2BHK and Rs1.80 lakh for 1BHK homes, but no construction has started in all these years."
According to Honrao, "Nearly 600 people have already cancelled their booking. If today, we cancel the booking, we will get interest of Rs50,000 to Rs60,000 but with that money I am not able to purchase a home in that area at present."

When asked whether the forum had any meetings with the company directors, Honrao said, "The two directors of Hex World have now moved out and formed Hex Corp. They have asked us to get in touch with Sameer Bhujbal, who was to develop the Hex World project."

Honrao said, "We are being told that the developer does not have CC and so cannot start work. If he did not have CC, then how is it that they have taken the money and what is the fate of our flats?"

When contacted, a representative of the developer informed dna of navi mumbai, "As on date, there is no connection between Hex World and Hex Corp as the directors have parted ways. Hex World is different from Hex Corp. We have too given a letter to BANM organisers asking them to ensure that no protests take place at the venue of exhibition as even we have filed the matter with the Supreme Court."
