Three people were injured after the car in which actor Sunil Grover was travelling rammed a divider and then hit another car near the Kharghar railway station on Sion-Panvel highway, around 5pm on Friday.
According to the police, Grover was in the back sit of the BMW when the accident took place. No one in his car was injured, but three people in the other car suffered injuries. Vijay Patil, deputy commissioner of police (traffic), said: “It was not a case of over-speeding. Road widening work has been going on this stretch for the last couple of months and hence there are no permanent dividers. Grover’s car was heading to Panvel when it rammed the divider and then hit the other car coming from the opposite direction.”
“The injured were rushed to a hospital in Kharghar. Both the cars were damaged,” said Patil. The police have detained Grover’s driver. “The actor left the spot after a few hours. We are investigating the case,” he said.
