The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case against three executives from private companies and government servants from the social welfare department for allegedly flouting a government resolution (GR), and misusing funds worth Rs 24 crore.

The ACB has booked Ravindra Indulkar, regional head, Birla Shloka education limited, Guruprasad Krishnamurthi, vice president (VP), Zenith Software Limited, Raju Pandey, VP, Core Education Technologies Limited and government servants from the Social Welfare department. The ACB also suspects the personal assistant of a former social welfare minister.

According to the ACB, in 2012, the private companies were given a contract to train students in areas like computers, English and personality development in government institutes.

Vishwas Nangre Patil, additional commissioner of police, ACB, said, "The companies went against the rules and outsourced the work to an organisation which was founded by the then social welfare minister. The entire Rs24 crore was misused."

No arrests have been made yet.
