The last we heard, India’s foremost ‘conspiracy theorist’ Ashwin Sanghi had collaborated with American novelist James Patterson - the creator of the famous series about fictional psychologist Alex Cross - to co-author an Indian edition for the Private series. Fans of the series will know that the wildly popular Private is about an exclusive detective agency of the same name led by Jack Morgan.
Now Sanghi, who has authored several historical and mythological novels including The Krishna Key, is readying to ‘decode’ the DNA of a thriller novel in a conversation with one of UK’s leading thriller writers, Peter James. The interaction, scheduled as part of the Mumbai Lit Festival today, will be held at NCPA Little Theatre. For aspiring detective novel writers, it’ll offer a key into how bestselling writers get into the mind of a serial killer - surely something to die for.
