A nine hours major block will be taken on Down slow line at Jogeshwari station from 7.00 am to 4.00 pm on Sunday, 30th April, 2017 by Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation in connection with Harbour line extension work. During the block, Down slow line trains (trains that travel from Churchgate) will be run on Down fast line between Andheri and Goregaon and will not halt at Ram Mandir for want of platform.

The biggest challenge for residents of Jogeshwari would be that between April 30 and May 7, slow trains coming from Churchgate etc will not halt at Jogeshwari station due to the lack of a platform. Passengers will have to alight at Ram Mandir station and then take Up trains (trains going towards Churchgate) to alight at Jogeshwari.

Western Railway in a statement said that passengers would be allowed to travel from Ram Mandir to Jogeshwari on same ticket or pass.

All Down fast trains of Dahanu Road/Virar/Vasai Road/Bhayander/Borivali/Malad running fast between Andheri and Borivali will take additional halt at Jogeshwari PF No.3 except 15-car train and Goregaon locals from 30/04/2017 to 7/05/2017.

In case of any unusual on Down fast line, if Down fast trains are diverted on Down slow line, in such case Down fast trains will not halt at Jogeshwari station. Due to the block, some local trains will remain cancelled, the list of which will be available at all stations.

Last Sunday, the MRVC in a megablock of 12 hours from midnight to noon shaved off the entire platform number 1 on the western side of the station as part of the Harbour line extension work.
