Around 57 Marathi medium students from a city school have still not got their HSC results this year. Mumbai division board officials have said that these students had not taken the English exam in their SSC year, which is why their results were not released. They will now have to appear for the paper in the July repeaters' exam.

Chairman of Mumbai division board DV Jagtap, while speaking to dna, said, "All the students had given their HSC examination privately by filling form number 17. When board members came to know that they had not appeared for their English paper during their SSC board exam, they summoned all 57. After that it was decided that to get their HSC result, they would have to appear for that exam."

"They will all take the exam this July, with the repeaters appearing for their SSC exam. As per the state board, it is compulsory to have English as a subject for taking admission in junior college," he added.
